For economic reasons (cost savings and transport optimization), fish and seafood shipments are carried in containers of the same product from the point of their origin. However, sometimes the needs of our customers or particular situations lead us to study the possibility of combining products in the same container.

Logically, embarking on a container without taking advantage of 100% of the space would be very counterproductive in terms of prices, especially considering the increase in these and the costs of transport suffered in the last year and a half.

Here appears the question… what products can I combine in one container?
The answer is very simple.

Each plant specializes in a group of products, some much more specialized, others with a more extensive catalog. Moving a half-filled container from one plant to another to finish loading it might seem like a solution, but considering the huge distances between plants and the logistics of the operations that this would pose make it absolutely unfeasible, both in terms of logistics ( dates) and economic (costs would skyrocket).

That is why there are certain combinations that are possible. Here are the details (it is important to consider that it will always depend on the production and the situation at that time, but in general it can be considered a good reference):

Combined products 1

  • Chum Salmon
  • Yellowfin Sole
  • Alaskan Pollock
  • Cod
  • Hake
  • John Dory
  • Red Fish

Combined products 2

  • Cod
  • Monkfish
  • Saithe
  • Baby squid (loligo japonica)
  • Illex squid
  • Todarodes squid
  • Surimi

Combined products 3

  • Shrimp
  • Monkfish
  • Baby squid (loligo japonica)
  • John Dory
  • Chinensis squid
